Winner! Thirty-One Gifts Thermal Tote

Gives_flierCongratulations, Kaitlin Boles! You won the Thirty-One Gifts Thermal Tote in the URU brushstroke pink pattern. Carolyn Petagno will be contacting you to claim your prize.

Today marks the end of the Worst Spring Break Ever. It included a lot of barf, a lot of diarrhea, and even some blood, courtesy of brotherly not-love. We went to the beach, but it was too cold to play or swim. We watched a lot of movies. Kid movies. Animated movies. Today, I cried while wiping down a toilet with Clorox wipes and I paid a carpet cleaner $200 to remove pasta barf from one kid’s bedroom carpet.

I’m ready for this to be over.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the giveaway. Don’t forget to click the ad in my sidebar to scope out the new Thirty-One catalog, or join Carolyn’s Facebook page for updates. Carolyn’s my first blog sponsor. She’s helping me “lean in” to writing. I appreciate her support!

Hope all of you are having a much better Spring Break/Passover/Easter week than I am. Here’s to getting through our annual spring stomach virus without our usual hospital visit! (Hey, I’m an optimist.)

  1. Oh man… sorry the trip was so miserable. 🙁 I thought our one day of barf at Disney was bad, but you had it with multiple kids over multiple days – KILLER! 🙁 Hope everybody is on the mend!

  2. I finally took some time to sit down at the computer and catch up on some of my favorite sites. Yours is certainly one of them. What a nice surprise to find that Carolyn is a sponsor on your site! I’ve known Carolyn since she was 2 years old and she and our daughter, Heather, are still best friends. What stories I could tell! You are two young (yes, YOUNG) women who I am so fond of and greatly admire. Those five years at SEA I always enjoyed seeing you in the office but had no idea of the extent of your talent. I just knew that you and your children had a special sparkle and warmth that I loved. Then I met your Mom. I believe that we could have talked for hours on the first meeting! Another special lady.

Although retirement has moved me to another state and kept me more wonderfully busy that I ever could have imagined, I still hold those five years at SEA and the special children and parents that I came to love close to my heart. Continue loving, laughing and writing.
